What I would add-to-cart at Crate&Barrel as a chicago bride

Wedding Registry for Chicago Brides Crate&Barrel

Chicago Wedding Registry Crate&Barrel Guide for Chicago brides and their grooms.

A shopping guide for brides with great taste.

Fun Fact: Did you know Crate&Barrel is a true Chicago success story? I believe their brand story and very first store originated in Lincoln Park. An area true to my heart, as I went to and graduated from DePaul University, Lincoln Park Campus. (Other Fun Facts: I was a runner up for the role of e-commerce copywriter for Crate&Barrel—aka CRATE—in 2021, and their beautiful headquarters are located in Northbrook, IL. today.)

But I digress, we’re here to shop like we’re getting married. And if you’re here, chances are you are actually getting married soon, so congrats to you.

Some of these items I have day-to-day experience with and others just simply caught my eye. Crate&Barrel is the BEST place to register as a bride and groom, so be sure to take in all the perks and don’t miss out on the experience. Setting up our registry was one of the funnest things we did as husband and wife when we got married in 2007. (All item visuals are featured up above.)

Tried & True faves

I love my Breville Bambino Plus Espresso Machine in Almond Nougat. I use it either around 9 am or 3 pm on many days of the week. The foam payout is spectacular, and if you’re a boudoir client of mine, I’ll make you my famous Honey Vanilla Latte upon request. You can’t miss with this one!

We’ve had these Aspen Porcelain Coupe Dinner Plates forever, and they have really held up. Serving dinner on these makes you feel like you’re dining in a gourmet restaurant. They hold up in the dishwasher, too. I think they’re an iconic piece at C&B.

These his and her YETI Rambler Tumblers are excellent. My husband and I both have our own color. Perfect for warm and cold drinks. I use mine while working at my desk to keep my coffee warm or when going on walks with a smoothie. Eternal favorites of ours.

Versatility at its finest. The Aspen Porcelain Cereal Bowls are great for soups, pastas, and warm and cold cereals. Years later we still have these, and my teen boys use them now, too. Love that they match the plates above. You can’t go wrong with CRATE.

This Fellow Stagg Pour Over Tea Kettle in Matte Black is a staple for chilly fall nights or for warming up bone broth in seconds. So good, you’ll find excuses to use it. Perfect for mint tea before bed.

Throw blankets are very important for a married couple's life together. We love our Chunky Hand-Knit Throw Blanket. Perfect for snuggly nights and TV marathons.

I’ve had this Le Creuset Cream Enameled Cast Iron Covered Oval Casserole Dish since about 2018, and I love it. Perfect for the softest, tenderest chicken. My family loves when I use it.

It’s truly the little, smart things. This Over-The-Sink Mesh Colander is everything when you’re doing the most for your growing family. My 13-yr old chef loves using it, too. You’ll be happy you own one.

I am super particular when it comes to my toast. I need to eat it immediately after it comes out of the toaster. This Cuisinart Stainless Steel 4-Slice Toaster toasts my bread perfectly. Perfect for 4-at-a-time bagels, too.

This was so fun—I’ll have to do another guide soon.
